i watched 'The Pursuit Of Happyness' at my grands place a few days ago. wanted to blog abt it but i was too lazy. since i haf nothing to do now, might as well. the movie starring Will Smith was based on a true story. it's abt this guy who was so poor that his wife left him, leaving his son with him. and it's the process of how he eventually managed to make it big in the stockmarket thru sheer determination. a rather heartbreaking yet inspiring movie i must say. so anyway, my entry will be rather based on part of the show.

i was totally an idiot hanging on to something i knew deep down wouldn't work out.
i was stupid to have wasted so much of my resources. damn it.
but i am stupid no more. and i am so glad.

running away frm reality refusing to face it.
running a race which i know i will eventually win.
or rather i have ALREADY won.

i am thankful that whenever im down there're people to cheer me up.
although it's always the same few people but it's more than enough.
they listen. they care. they simply put a smile on my face.

ooh and i did update my phone software already. i backedup my phone memory and yet i still lose ALL my messages. woahh seh. how sad. my inbox in now totally EMPTY. grr. msg me! hahahah no im just kiddin. but yeah at least the phone functions much faster now. yayy.
AND i might need to get new glasses soon. my current pair has a power of 300 but my contacts are 325. i need to synchronise :D BESIDES my current pair is abit crooked. as a result of some person half asleep who apparently STEPPED on it accidentally (with limited space available when abt 13 pple shared a TINY room at Meridian) when i left it on the floor while sleeping TWO years ago after gradnight05. whom i believe is ANDY. grr.

apart from that. results fridayy. shucks! soooo freaked out but i am prepared to face it. good or bad. bahh i've to travel more than an hour back to Potong Pasir just to collect that damn slip of paper on which my entire future depends on. crappp. till then, haf fun people! and goodluck! (:



i went out on both today and yesterday. and both were good (:

yesterday i was at Island Creamery for icecream.
and when i entered Island Creamery and left to make a call, someone grabbed my hand and i turned and i saw PONGGGG! i was rather pleasantly shocked for i seem to see her everywhere! i bumped into her at BBDC once and now island creamery! how great fate we've got. yayy.
but anyway i was SAD Island Creamery doesn't sell Burnt Caramel ice-cream anymore! or rather when i was there. not even in tubs! ahhh and i loved it laaa. grr ):): but oh well. make do.

and then caught Epic Movie @ Vivo. the queue was so freaking long and we had to sit the 2nd row. shit. hahah. it was a torture having to sit so near the screen. my poor neck. anyway the movie was damn lame. cheap thrill. so if u're looking for a movie to "omg so lame" at. catch epic movie. oh and it's damn sick too. pretty similar to Scary Movie series.

today i was a couch potato for the afternoon. i watched The Ant Bully DVD. though it's a cartoon i found it rather meaningful. it's true that sometimes we don't know how others feel until we're in their shoes, living their lives. and we humans are indeed unlike ants. we lack the human spirit. or rather the unity. in this society it's "every man for himself" and what exists between we humans are differences. differences which sometimes may not be acceptable to others and there goes conflict. but in the ant colony, differences mean potential. because they serve different purposes which contribute the overall well-being of the whole colony to function as a unit. who would, in times of crisis, think of saving others before saving ourselves first? if you are like that, be proud of yourself. but it is a very sad truth the world IS like that. oh well. not a bad show. heh.

then i had dinner at Chicago's Steakhouse.
before that i went to the library. FINALLY. i've been wanting to go to the library!
but sadly Orchard library didn't haf many good books. or rather those books i want are on loan ): only managed to get 2 books. of which i think i've read one b4 already. only found out after getting home. damn.
i will go to Queenstown Library sometime soon. so much more familiar w that place.

okay so thats abt it. i'm meeting my cousin tmr and upgrade our Nokia software for free. for some reason the batch of N73s we bought had some software lacking and makes the phone more laggish and more susceptible to hanging. so yeah see how tmr.

omg it was just last year when i was sitting at that council booth selling heart shaped balloons & colourful daisies. trying to earn some CIP hours. hahah.
and it was last year when i got my first bouquet of flowers of 7roses for vday! after morning assembly. PENGs. stupid ian. trying to make up what wrong he has done me for the past year. my orientation log comm head! hahah. and of course our tradition of 1rose per girl in council! sponsered by the council guys. they are damn nice. or rather whoever came up with that idea. (i think it was daniel! or ian again)
but the pretty 8roses eventually died. though i dried them and kept them in a vase. they still died further! their petals crumbled ): and so i had no choice but to junk it. so unwillingly. hahah.

ehhh shucks. i miss spending valentines day in school!
i miss the chaos and the little sweet (literally) surprises!
i wanna go back to schooooooool! no not to collect the damn results ):
Cambridge can just shred everything.

rough day today.
i had an small "argument" with my mummy early in the morning.
and then i realised i was rather late so i had to leave the house asap.
and then i washed my favourite mug after using it.
BUT i broke it by knocking it accidentally against the side of the sink.
the exact same spot i broke my last mug (which was also my favourite mug).
now i've lost both my favourite mugs.
grr. whats wrong with me.

and then i was trying to clear the mess i cut myself unknowingly.
and then when i was in the lift i saw blood stains on my palm & realise that my finger was bleeding crazily.

the only thing i'm thankful for was that i had plasters in my bag! LOL.

Eternal embrace? Couple still hugging 5,000 years on

ROME (Reuters) - Call it the eternal embrace.

Archaeologists in Italy have discovered a couple buried 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, hugging each other.

"It's an extraordinary case," said Elena Menotti, who led the team on their dig near the northern city of Mantova.

"There has not been a double burial found in the Neolithic period, much less two people hugging -- and they really are hugging."

Menotti said she believed the two, almost certainly a man and a woman although that needs to be confirmed, died young because their teeth were mostly intact and not worn down.

"I must say that when we discovered it, we all became very excited. I've been doing this job for 25 years. I've done digs at Pompeii, all the famous sites," she told Reuters.

"But I've never been so moved because this is the discovery of something special."
A laboratory will now try to determine the couple's age at the time of death and how long they had been buried.

but anyway i was packing my room this afternoon & i found this card which i got from sebas for my 17th bday. mus say it's certainly one of the BEST cards i've received for bdays. like seriously. jus look at how he did it. close up. it's painstakingly sticking small pieces of paper tgt to make up my name. omgg.. how much effort. i love it lar! which makes me exceptionally sorry cuz i forgot his 17th bday somemore :X but though he won't read this till dunno when, thankyou sebas! and i met up with keriann & ellyne for dinner just now. man it was crazy. hahah! more like retarded. but well. they made me laugh like mad. which i did. and we camwhored. some of which are really freakin unglam. but with those girls, UNGLAM has been in their dictionary ever since the start of sec sch. HAHAH okay no just kiddin. we have sinned yet again. cakes from secret recipe. shucks i better skip 1000times a day to lose the calories. grr. other than that. met up with a few of the council girls todayy! long awaited reunion. perfect.
lunch at NewYork NewYork was extremely explosive. and i mean their food is so filling that our stomachs almost exploded at the end of it all.
i thought we were the loudest cubicle there for we were reminiscing the good old days and laughing our heads off over lunch. but yeah. those were the days mann! i miss.
and then lost two of them for they had stuff on. so it was left with dear cais & pong!
and so we continued wandering aimlessly in Marina Sq when we decided to go Esplanade to sit and talk.
but we ended up really sinful. Häagen-Dazs @ Esplanade. OMG...
all in all. today was great. haven't seen them in so long!
must make sure we all keep to our "every last saturday of the month" outings!! guys who are "poorthing-ly" in NS pls don't hesitate to join us! we're really looking forward to seeing u all with botak heads!! (:

i just read on Yahoo! that the final Harry Potter book "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows" will be out on July 21st this year! yayy. although i'm not goin to get the book because it's so expensive.. i'm still hoping to borrow it if anyone of you out there are getting it :X or probably get it for my birthday. HAHAH. oops i'm just kiddin! but i heard harry potter is going to die in that last book. how sad ):
